Practically Under Pressure

Koh Siu Lan, Thanom Chapakdee, Tran Leung

The socializing of performance art. Siu Lan began with reiterating her experience. Is nudity outrageous to the rural people? Where does one ground his feet in the boundaries of taboos and morals? And what then is the role of the artist in the face of social taboos? Josef asked if not questioning performance art, is it considered not healthy? Is performance art needed to be politically incorrect? Are artists disillusioned without oppression? The pressure of money is also very real in the lives of performance artists where we need to depend large on market mechanisms.
