Beneath

Beneath that tear-washed eyes
imagined fears and apprehension
loneliness sprouts independence
Cooling that short-fused vision

Beneath that meekness so shy
heartaches almost colonized
possibilities to amend
When God’s tasks are oversized

Beneath that perky energy of ideas
worries for security in love
dreams come responsibilities
When will I ever fly away like a dove?

Beneath a smile or a kiss
formless blackness of winter cold
Lounging, bruised and beaten
When trailing twilight robes behold

Beneath that depths of thoughts
currents of missing you
insomnia appetizing nights
When sound of my heart waits for morning dew

Beneath unembittered lips
Sings lengthy tunes, with floating stars
Great God sows in me again
Invade the flames that left me scars
